Why aren't you signed to Roudrunner Records?

Based on the sound you created here, it definitely sounds like you should be. All that crap aside, I must say that you have (perhaps against your will) made a very catchy song. Vocals would complete the process for obvious reasons, but this is a very good song...even for a thrash metal and death metal fan that despises most metalcore like myself. Well done.

Fleshbag responds:

I don't despise metalcore, it's just ridiculous to me. It took me 4 hours total to create this song. So you can make a metalcore album in 5 days with this formula. What does that say about the genre?

Excellent.

This song was everything I could (and want) to expect from something titled "The Wild Boyz Anthem". What I think made this track special was the attitude behind it. The instrumentals, while simple, add a very effective edge to the emotion behind the song. The vocals and lyrics layered over this, of course, make it all the more apparent. Well done.

Hell Yes!

The guitar and keyboard do a nice job in mixing the edginess of hard rock with a hip-hop heavy rhythm. Not to mention the bass thump, which I thought was a nice touch. Good work here.

I took a point of because the transitions and rhythms seemed kind of redundant. Maybe through a lead guitar into the mix at irregular intervals. That should help diversify your song.

Nicely Done.

I'm going to have to agree with the guy below me - this is totally Dragonball Z. Being the nerd that I am, I actually a lot of the songs from the American soundtrack (the origional Japanese music is absolute shit), and the music of Bruce Faulconer definetly compares to what you have done here.

The dark progression of the bassline mixed with the synths you used combine to create a very suspenseful mood. I noticed a few kinks as I was writing this review, but sound easily fixable. Overall, a job well done.

fizzypop2 responds:

I never even watched that show but I guess it must be good if two people have already mentioned it. Heheh. I can hear those little spots that need fixing as well but it was honestly a 20 minute make. I spent no time on this and was surprisingly pleased with myself. Thanks for the review, I appreciate the support. =)

Almost Perfect

This is the first song of yours that I've checked out, and I'm impressed. I am a huge heavy metal fan, so I can appreciate this apparent deviation of style. That being said, I would have particularly liked to hear that sick rhythm guitar a bit more. It seems a bit turned down. Maybe turn up the treble, low on the mids (or have no mid levels at all), and a moderate bass EQ, the guitars will sound like the portal to Hell was just opened. To me, the bass was too high on the distorted rhythm guitar.

I'm 5/5ing this becaus its a sick song. One of the main reasons I took off a point on this track was because I love lyrics and vocals, which this track doesn't have - through no fault from your own.

To make a long story short - an exceptional effort. Keep at it! It you have any more heavy shit, be sure to hit me up for feedback, because metal is definetly my thing.

Crap, I blinked

Ha, less rhythmic than some of your other submissions (which I have been enjoying thus far). Anyway, the bpm on this track definitely makes it worth a listen. I don't know how you managed to do it, because every drum machine or metronome I've ever used has gone up to maybe 240 bpm. I guess Audacity can come in handy.

Not bad though. 4/5'd.

Chaoticstyle responds:

haha ty and yeah my friend showed me alot of hardcore. but yeah im making moe rhythmic stuff again. hence "back to my roots"

Pretty good

Let me just start off by saying I love the effects, rhythms, beats, and everything. What irked me a little was the sporadic transitions between the rhythms. I liked the vocals though.

Overall, a pretty decent effort. Good job!

Chaoticstyle responds:

thankyou. and thankyou for using irk.

I just came.

Nice work on this man. Parts of the song seemed kind of sporadic - as in, there are times I forgot I was still listening to the same song. Having fewer transitions and a more characteristic constant melody would solve this problem. This was a minute issue, and thus I took only one star off for it. Nonetheless, this is one sick rave jam!
